This website gives you information about African dance and related dance forms that are all about pleasure, the interaction between rhythm and motion, and getting the whole body moving. Inge's African dance classes are based on traditional Guinean dance and the music is an essential part of these dances. A new short 4-week course will start the 22nd of November '11 ; you can send me a mail for more information or go to the section dance classes to see how you can enrol!
It is very well possible to do private classes in all afro-related styles (also her Afro Jazz and Latin Jazz classes have African elements in them), contemporary dance, and in more health related dance practices. In the section Dance classes, you'll find more info about this. Inge van Winkel graduated from the prestigious dance academy Codarts – the University for the Arts in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After graduating, Inge continued her dance studies in Africa at the National Dance Companies of Ghana and Guinea, and at the University for the Arts of Abidjan in Ivory Coast. When Inge returned to The Netherlands she grew to be a well-known performer, in African-, Contemporary-, and Latin dance. She has performed and taught in The Netherlands and in many other European countries, as well as in West-Africa and Latin America.
In winter 2008, Inge was ready for a new challenge and moved to Fremantle, Western Australia.
